The first 5 months

Some cute pics of cute little Rebekah

September

In September we were able to get a lot of pics of extended family. So here they are!
The above pics where taken at Nick's Aunt Marlene's house. Nick's cousin Heather & her husband Bradley blessed their baby, Hailey, so we were able to see Nick's Aunt Maureen & Uncle Earl from South Carolina. Rebekah was able to meet her Great Grandma Joyner that was also here for the blessing. It was so good to see family for this happy occassion. It's crazy to think that Rebekah & Hailey are only a little over a month apart! Crazy!
This pic is of Rebekah, my Grandpa Carlson, Me & my Grandma Carlson. They were in town for my cousin Cindy's wedding. Let me just say I love generation pics!

Halloween

First of all I have to apologize for not updating in a very long. Time by the end of the day I am either too tired to even get on the internet or I have so many other things that I need to get done. So this has definately been on the back burner for a long time. Anyways...here are some adorable pics of Rebekah for Halloween. Hope you enjoy. And I'll try to be better about blogging.

Wow! I can't believe that it has been over 2 mos since our precious little girl joined our family. A lot has happened.
  • Attended the ground breaking for the Brigham City temple on July 31, 2010
  • Visited my Grandma Carlson in Idaho Falls on either August 7 or 14, 2010
  • Rebekah had her first babysitter so that Nick & I could go to the temple. Thanks Chris & Elise! You guys are awesome!
  • Grandma Joyner, Nick's mom, came out for a visit and for Rebekah's blessing. She came out on Aug. 27th & stayed till Sept 7th.
  • Dora, Travis, Savannah, Tomas, Kristy & Jack all came out for the blessing. They all arrived on Sept. 2nd & stayed till Sept 6th.
  • Little Rebekah was given a name & a blessing by her daddy! Thanks to all that could come! It really meant a lot to us to share that day with friends & family!
  • Rebekah is now sleeping through the night & in her own crib!!!
  • Had a girls night out with my sister Cami & my Mom & of course Rebekah! We went to the Brigham City Peach Queen pagant. It was a lot of fun. I haven't been in at least 5-7 years.
  • Went to Peach Days in good ol Brigham City on Sept. 10th & 11th.

Now for some pics. Nick is really good at taking pics of our little girl. It seems lately that I am just loosing my mind trying to take care of 3 babies. Hopefully I will never have triplets. If so I might need to be admitted to the hospital.

Here's Rebekah a little over a month old. They were taken on 8-11-2010. I loved this outfit on her & now it's too small. It makes me sad that I already had to pack her newborn clothes away. The Harley Davidson blanket was given to me by my brother Dave & sis in law Ashley. I love it!
Rebekah started smiling when she was about a month and a half old. Now she is cooing & sometimes giggling! I just love being her mommy!
One cutie pututie!
This is how we found her one morning (about a month & a half old). She got her arm out of her pajamas through the neck hole. Crazy little girl!
This is my Grandma & Grandpa Anderson. My Mom's parents.
Four generation picture! My grandma Anderson, Rebekah, me & my Mom.
Our cute little strawberry! One of my Mother in law's co workers made this. I just love it!

Our New Bundle of Joy!

For all of you who didn't know by now little Rebekah Dove Joyner was born July 8, 2010 at 11:30 pm. We have truly been blessed by her sweet little spirit. We were able to get her newborn pics done but aren't available yet, but will post them when I can.

8 mos & counting

So here is a pic of me @ 8 mos & 1 wk. Man the time has flown by. I can't believe that I am now only 2 wks away from my due date!! Went to the doctor today & she is predicting that I am going to be late because the little lady is just not ready. I am so excited to meet her that I just want to have her now but I guess for the time being I will have to be patient & wait to meet my beautiful daughter. As far as names go we have not decided on one yet. I think we might just take the list of names that we like to the hospital & decide then.

D. Joyner

I justed wanted to thank all of those who have been thinking about us and prayed for the entire Joyner family during this difficult time. Nick's dad passed away on April 21st. We made our way out to South Carolina for the services and to spend some much needed time with family. We were able to fly out on April 24th and stay till the 29th. Here are some pics that my sister in law, SueAnn, took.

It makes me sad to think that our daughter won't know her grandpa but I have to keep reminding myself that he gets to hold her and play with her now before we do. I am so grateful for the strength that it gives me to know about the plan of salvation and the truthfulness of the gospel. There is nothing else that could give me this comfort and peace.

6 mos pregnant!

I can't believe that I am in my third trimester! And I know some of you are asking for belly pics so here you go.

My next doctor appointment is this coming Monday. I'm not really looking forward to it because I have to do the glucose test. Ick! I'm sure everything will go well.

Nick & I are still living with my parents in Brigham. But we will probably be moving in with Dave, Ashley & the twins within the next week! It will be nice when I don't have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning! But I know that won't last long once our baby is here.

Getting out of Debt!!!

So last week Nick made our final payments on my dental bill & our car!!! We only have his student loan to pay off and then we are totally out of debt!! I can't wait till that day. If we continue paying on it and don't put more on it then it will be paid off December 2011!! I know that is still almost two years away, but I can start to see the light and the end of this dark tunnel!

Well...It really

A Girl!!! I'm so excited. I would be happy with a boy too! I'm just glad the baby is doing so well and is healthy. We had the ultrasound done March 1st. They measured all the limbs-which the tech said are long...thanks to my adorable tall husband. All the organs looked great. I would post a pic but I am currently at my brothers house watching the twins and don't have the pic with me. sorry.

The twins are doing great. Growing so big. They went to the doctor this week for their 2 mos check. Jackson is about 8 lbs 12 oz. and Daxton is 9 lbs ? oz. They got their shots and that was not fun to watch. I started to cry when Jackson got his(he got his after Daxton.) The only part that was hard to get used to was waking up at 5:30am and driving to their house which is about 25 miles. But it's been fun. They make the cuttest faces and are starting to giggle. I just can't wait till my little one will join in on the fun.

New Job & Baby

Well for those of you who didn't know, Nick got a job!!! Wahoooo!! He is working for Verizon Wireless out of the Salt Lake inbound call center. He is still in training but I think he is starting to like it more. Congrats love!

I am going to start watching my twin nephews this coming Monday. Had a little trial run yesterday which was nice. But it means no more late nights & late mornings.

This week I had hit my half way mark with my pregnancy. I can't believe that in another 20 weeks I am going to have a baby! I am excited, nervous & very happy to have this baby. I can hardly wait to meet him/her.

BYU v. USU Gymnastics

For Christmas Nick got me tickets to the BYU v. USU gymnastics meet. Well Nick was unable to go with me due to his new job (I'll talk about that in another post), so I asked my sister Jenny to go with me. It was a lot of fun. I haven't been to a meet in years. And it was nice to be able to spend some time with Jen. Of course the Cougars won!!! I don't remember the score and couldn't get a pic of it fast enough.

Afterwords, we stopped by Aggie Ice Cream to bring some home to the troops but they were closed. Jen told me that Macy's in South Logan/Providence sold it. So stopped there on our way home and brought home 2- 1/2 gallons. It was so yummy.

Thanks Nick for the great Christmas present. Thanks Jen for going with me, even though I had a cold. It was a blast.

BYU vs. Utah Basketball Game

Last Saturday, January 30th, we went to the BYU v. Utah basketball game at the Marriott Center. I gave Nick these tickets for one of his Christmas presents. He was pretty stoked especially since I gave him a BYU shirt too (thanks jen for picking it up for me). We had a lot of fun but Nick said the game was too close for his comfort. But in the end we still won. Go Cougars!!!

The drive home was ok until we got to Layton. It ended up taking us two hours to get home from Layton because the interstate was closed and the weather was so bad. Glad we won the game & that we got home in one piece.

It's a...

Girl? Well that is what the doctor told me today. When she finally had a good view she said "it's a girl." Nick then asked her how her acuracy is. The doc said "not good." So my next appointment is the first of March along with an ultrasound. So hopefully we'll have a better idea by then. I do have a strong feeling that it is a girl, especially since I've had dreams of our baby being a girl. Here are some ultrasound pics for your enjoyment. We are just so glad that are baby is doing so well and is very healthy!

The baby & heartbeat.

My Awesome Husband

I just realized that today is our half anniversary. I know it sounds silly but when you grow up with a younger sister that "celebrates" her half birthday you sort of get used to it.

I just wanted to write a little about my amazing husband. He does so much for me and I don't think I thank him enough. So honey if you're reading this...thank you!

During this pregnancy when I have gotten sick he always comes and checks on me to make sure that I am ok and comforts me. He makes sure that I eat every couple of hours so I don't get sick. He always listens to me and doesn't always try to fix my problems. He is my best friend that I can always count on and he never judges me for mistakes that I have made. Nick will practically always help someone in need, whether it be a lady at the grocery story that can't reach something or help a broken down car get out of traffic. I have learned so much from his willingness to serve 24-7. I admire at how he is a worthy priesthood holder and when called upon he jumps at the opportunity to use the priesthood. When we were in South Carolina I was able to witness Nick & his dad administer the sacrament to his dad and grandma, who were homebound for the day.

I just can't thank him enough for choosing me to be his wife for time and all eternity. I can't wait to see what an amazing father he will be to our children. I am very excited to see where our life goes and I'm sure I'll enjoy the journey especially since he always keeps me laughing. Thanks Nick for everything.

The Best Christmas Present Ever

After waiting and trying for over two years, Nick and I received wonderful news that we are pregnant!!! I actually made him look at the pregnancy test to make sure he was seeing what I was seeing. We went to our second doctor visit this week and everything is going well. I have been fairly nauseous. I am 13 weeks along and hoping to be over the sick hump soon. I am due July 12. Yup just a couple days before our 5 year anniversary. Thanks to everyone that has kept us in your prayers while we have been trying to start our family. It has really helped & kept me going.
I am trying to update my blog but it is being retarded. It won't let me change the color of the text. I know it is probably bugging some of you and I will try to fix it as soon as I can.

South Carolina

Nick & I were able to go to South Carolina for Christmas this year. Not as warm as I was hoping but it was great to be around family. Here are some of the things that we did in South Carolina:
  • watched Ernest takes Christmas (my first time seeing it)
  • got to play with nieces and nephew
  • went to Charleston-Fort Sumpter, Market Street, & ofcourse outlet shopping
  • went to the sealing of our niece Rachael to Jason & SueAnne-probably on of the highlights of the trip
  • had a much needed girls night out-went and saw Blindside (highly recommend it)
  • had a great day after Christmas Christmas with 6 out of the 7 brothers
  • got the best Christmas present ever from Nick's parents-Harley Davidson Baby clothes w/a durag (that's how we told the siblings that we are prego)

We came back on New Years Eve and spent that night with my family hanging out and playing Mario Cart.
